Janet Reed birth abt 1841 Dumfermland Scotland

Married Jeremiah Hurst in Liverpool oct/1863 st andrews

he possibly died age 47 in 1885 he is deceased on marriage cert

in 1897

Ancestry gives jeremiah's wedding to Janet as dec 1863.



In 1871 it would appear they are living in garston liverpool if this is correct family :

it is the right Jeremiah as he was a stonemason but I am trying to

to get to the next level ie their parents

I think the enumerator misspelt Janet and put Jenne!!



Lol...do as I do sometimes.....imagine the accent telling the enumerator the names!



A scottish accent saying Janet...could be heard as Jenne!



This worked when, in Liverpool, Oldread was listed as Aldridge.....

There are plenty of Janet Reed's in Scotland in 1841 and 1851 but I can't find one the right age in the area you have said. It might pay you to get their marriage certificate. This will give you her fathers name which might help to narrow it down.

I can't find a Janet Reed born circa 1840 in Dunfermline, however there's a Janet Reid. Maybe someone with access to Scotlands People could look this record up for you.
