im after a birth look up for a JOHN CURRAN born 1874 in liverpool

his father was a FRANCIS CURRAN who's occupation was a labourer

This is the West Derby entry for that period....however if you take a look on FreeBMD there are a few other John Currans born in Livepool.





You would have to purchase the certificate to prove who the father was..and to prove he's your John!

Have seen on the 1891 census Liverpool a Francis Curran and family including a John age 16. Father is a dock labourer. If you think this is your family, can send you info from the original transcript.

thats the one i've narrowing it down to at the mo



im after his birth certificate or his fathers marriage certificate, buts its hard just working on the census info the entries would be ideal

Not a very common name is it! Finding a marriage of a Francis Curran to a Mary doesn't really fit the era of the 1870's mark but what I did find interesting was a marriage of a Francis Curran & Mary Cunningham in 1869 Angus. There is only record of them having 1 child on the igi in 1870 in Angus. Could they be a family that moved down to England as I couldn't see your Francis on any earlier census records. This Francis Curran is also on the Scotland 1871 census as born in Ireland.

Also have the 1901 census of a 3 yr old John Curran with father John Curran, Liverpool if you need it.

thats not my john ive seen him b4 on the census both my john curran's were in the merchant navy as fireman/trimmers, but the francis might be a possible he was a labourer thats about all i know, im trying to get the birth certificate for john b 1874

that will clear up a few things for me if i can get it.
