Thread: death at sea look up

hi



dont know where to begin with this one i may well be posting in the wrong forum



the look up is for my grandad - john curran born 9/7/1899 serving in the merchant navy registered in liverpool, his occuaption was a marine fireman, he died at sea around 1943



the ship he was on may be the teviotbank or tidiotbank im not 100% on these



i have been on the national archives at kew, but i foind it hard to navigate the around the site and i have not been able to find anything out



any help gratefully received

The index for deaths at sea is held at the Family Records Centre in London. I don't think the National Archives has anything that late.
