hi



can anyone help ? im desperate to find my grandmothers birth date



her name is mary elizabeth boyd ( she may have been christened elizabeth )

she was born circa 1890's, she married john curran in 1921 where both ages state 21

this may mean they were both over 21, she lived in liverpool and probably registered in west derby, her fathers name was john boyd he was a tailor



next one my grandfathers birth john curran details as above born circa 1895-1899

same district as above, fathers name john



and the last one



Stephen John Devine, born 1911 im after his parents names, he was registered in west derby liverpool also

There is a Stephen Devine registered Dec Qtr 1910 Liverpool Vol 8b Page 58



The birth cert will give fathers name & occupation and mothers name and maiden name

I've had another look at the indexes..Mar 1910 - Dec 1912 and that is the only Stephen registered....however the indexes are not 100%!!



Have you a date of death? as all deaths registered from Jun Qtr 1969 have the date of birth listed....which is useful

also my nan mary elizabeth boyd was born circa 1895-1899

and died abt 1982 in rainhill merseyside ( mary e curran ) if you could find her that would be huge help

I have found an Elzabeth Boyd on 1901 census with father John a Tailor....she was age 3..which would put her in 1898. There were 6 Elizabeths between 1895-99 but she was the only one with John a Tailor!



John was aged 49 born in Scotland...listed with wife Margaret and 5 elder siblings of Elizabeth

There were 2 John Curanns on 1901 born 1898 & 99 but only one with father JOhn!



John aged 30 born liverpool wife Mary A John aged 3 and 2 other siblings

yes that looks very likely, does st helens mean death registered in st helens

her father was born in scotland, is the date of birth 27th august



also the johns you have found are any in merchant navy as i know the elder was

St Helens is the registration distict....maybe it covers rainhill? Lol all I know is that St Helens is in merseyside (or thereabouts!?!) my geography not that good !!

hi loz, yeah i actually live in st helens lol, but i thought all my family were from liverpool as i am, but if the birth was registered in st helens it would explain why ive struggled to find her, on your listing was her mother margaret blundell, do you think i have enough to get her birth certificate with the 27th august 1898 and fathers name etc, thanks again for all the info
