Thread: occupation and place of birth

i've put the census into photoshop and messed with it, and I still cant make out the occupation of CL Taylor, or his place of birth. Please can you also me the occupation of GW Taylor......

I think the birth place says 'Stepney Mile End Middlesex'



As for the occupations.....I'm unsure, looks like Waterproofer Ganger - a Ganger was an overseer, and waterprooferman.



Maybe someone else will interpret it differently

To my eyes it says Waterproofer & Ganger. A Ganger is the old term for a Foreman, he was in charge of a gang of workmen.
