Could you say what information you are looking for? Is 1902 the date of his birth?
Gillian
Hi Gillian,
I'm afraid I don't know John Huxley Angior-Guest's age but in 1902 his son, a copy of whose marriage certificate I have, was age 41 years. John's occupation is recorded as solicitor, living at 2 Nevin Street, Liverpool. Nevin Street doesn't seem to exist any longer, but another person has found it was a small road sited at the junction of Everton Rd, W.Derby Rd and Brunswick Rd.
My g.aunt Jane Wynne married John's son Arthur and being curious about the Angior-Guest family I've searched high and low to find them on any census, but apart from finding Arthur and his mother in 1861 they seem to have vanished.
Since g.aunt Jane, on the wedding certificate decribed her father as a manager rather than the coal miner he actually was, I wondered if "solicitor" was also stretching things a bit.
Thankyou for your interest,
Regards
Keith
Hi Keith
Marriage 3/1856 John Huxley Angior to Maria Guest Gt Boughton 855 (from FreeBMD)
Gillian
Sorry! Thought I had found him on a census but the wrong family.
Gillian
Thanks for trying Gillian, I'm surprised that a solicitor, if that's what he was, could seem to have avoided every census from 1861.
Keith
Hello again -
In 1871 Arthur is (I think) in Chester with his grandmother as in 1861 -
Charlott Guest 72 widow owner of property b Wales Flintshire Hawarden
Arthur Guest 11 grandson b Cheshire Hoole
Sarah Evans 15 servant
May need to look for some deaths?
Gillian
