How can i find people after the 1901 cencus

You can trace them, initially, using the BMD index which is available free on ancestry site. It is a painstaking lengthy process.....unless you have an idea of year of birth marriage or death!



Fromn Sep Qtr 1911 the maiden name of mother appears in the index....which is a massive help when searching births (unless its smith an jones!!)



Marriage indexes show name of spouse from c1912.



Death indexes show date of birth from c 1968 onwards...prior to that just shows age at death

The local Archives for district they lived would also have other records that you could look through...including the obvious Parish Records......electoral rolls...Gazetteers etc
