Thread: anyone know what name this could be??

i am just starting my dads side of the tree after seeing a huge hole where it should be anyway i knew my nan as nanny blacklock but the other grand children know her as nanny vi now i know from my dads birth cert that her maiden name was bennett some times with 1 t sometimes with 2 my question is what do you think vi stands for im thinking violet or ivy maybe??

I would have thought Violet.....if you look up her birth or marriage details on BMD index...it could probably show her name!?!

thanks for your imput im having a search as we speak but am finding it hard as i have no idea when she was born so im covering quite alot of ground i know her 1st son was born in 1850 i think i have found her marraige to ?? collins in 1948 and that says violet l so im going with violet at the mo

Are you looking in 1900's or 1800's ?? As you have 1850 but then 1949 ??



Also do you have any idea of her mothers maiden name ? or any idea at all where abouts she came from ??

i found it it was 1949 sorry typo her mothers maiden name was martin and it did turn out to be violet
