Thread: FRANCIS PICKLES. BOER WAR AND MIGRATION

Hi there,



Does anyone have a subscription to Find my past, I am after an image of a migration on 1908 from London to NZ, Wellington. Name is Francis Pickles. There is only one match on find my past.



Is anyone able to get the image and send it to my email add?? I am not sure if subscription give unlimited access to records so please excuse my ignorance.



Also, there is some belief that Francis Pickles was in the Boer War, can anyone help me to find out more? Francis Pickles was born in 2 March 1879 in Grassington. Yorkshire. My father in law ahs some campaign strips from the Boer War which he believes to be francis's.



Can anyone help me make the old man happy?????

I found an Arthur Pickles listed as a soldier in the Boer War - is he one of your family?

not sure....pickles are the family I married into, there is an arthur around that time in my father in laws book...........he is not certain it was francis who served so it is quite possible that it was arthur...Kirstie
