gillian thanks for the info,i wonder if you can find any thing on my dad. his name was joesph garnon owen,he was born 6/12/1904,in wales i believe,he died in sept 1974, i believe they married my mum,gertrude annie,stelling/kendal/hall in 1949?in woolwich which is in the borough of greenwich south east london ? im trying 2 find out if this was his only marriage thanks

I have already posted the reference for your parents marriage on your other thread. The marriage certificate would say if he was a bachelor or widower.

I haven't found an earlier marriage 1925-1931.
