Thread: hi can u please help

i am looking for details about my mom and her family i cannot find anything anywhere her name was

gertrude anne kendal maybe hall born 22/2/1922... her moms maiden name was hall and she was born in caberwell we know she married a ludwig stelling in july 1939 and then again joseph g owen in 1949 not to sure of the month. joseph owen was fro wales but that is about as far as we know ... could u please help

Or at Free BMD (before 1920 only and not complete but quick & easy to search)

Birth certificates give both parents names (and mother's maiden name)

Marriage certificates give names of fathers (both bride & groom)

You should then be able to search back on censuses. For example this is probably Victor's family in 1901 in London Newington 37 Olney Street (registration district Southwark) -
