Thread: CAN NOT FIND MY HUSBANDS GRANDAD

Quite new to this so would appreciate help, please.



Robert Scarisbrick was born 1860 Kirkdale Liverpool. I have him from 1881 census when he was a ships carpenter age 21, he married 1882 st Marys church Kirkdale Elizabeth Lilian Wheate.

Also 1891 and 1901 census.



His marriage certificate gives his father as Robert Foreman, the address is the address Robert jnr lives as a lodger in 1881 census.

I can not find any record of his birth, I have found him (I think) 1861 census when he was 1 year old Father Robert Mother ann both born Formby

1851 census Robert and Ann both born about 1827 so married then no children age 24.



Have found a marriage for a Robert SCAIRSBRICK sept qtr 1850 Liverpool vol 20 page 339.



Can anybody help me locate the birth details 1860 or tell me if there is any way I can check if the marriage I have found maybe the right one, if they were both born Formby aged about 23 wife Ann good chance this is them.



I am spending loads on certificates at the moment ok if I know its right but dont want to buy on guessing.

Ann Dickinson or

Ann Jane Jackson.



Nanna might have this record in her Liverpool data...if not then the only way to confirm is by the Certificate

On the 1861 Robert has two elder siblings...their births on freebmd are

Jane Mar 1858 8b 12

Joseph Dec 1855 8b 23



Their birth certificates would give mothers maiden name
