Is it possible to see if there was a marriage of Claris Gamble (or could be Clarice, Clarrissa) around the 1930-1940 period in the Wellingborough district of Northamptonshire ?

Hi Mary,

Have checked 1837online for the period 1930 - 1940 and could only find the following:

Clarice M.E Gamble marr Leonard R. Donington June Qtr 1933 at Nottingham 7B969

Clarice Gamble marr Harry Gardner Dec Qtr 1933 at Ashton 8D1447

I also found the following which may be of use to

you:

Bertha Gamble marr Victor A Cook March Qtr 1936 at Wellingbrough 3B165

Thanks Pauline.............could well be one of them. The info I have just gives the surname of Gamble but that was passed to me through hubby's family and they maybe just always knew her as that and never referred to her by married name. I might be clutching at straws here but if you look at my adoption posting youll understand ..........lol
