Thread: 1881 and 1891 lookup for taylor

Hi there,



I have received the marriage cert I was waiting for and have deduced some information!



I have a 1901 census showing Charles Lewis Taylor- Head born 1852 and his wife Charlotte born 1853, I cannot find them on any earlier census records??? Specifically withtheir son lewis born 1881.



I have a son for them called Lewis born 1881 in holloway, and his wife Margaret born 1878, birmingham, Lewis and Margaret had two children that I know of called lewis born 1906 (married hilda nathan) and charlotte, born 1900...both born in tottenham.



I wonder if anyone can check out census records for me.



Just to not waste your time I have the following census records-



1. 1901 census for Charles Lewis Taylor living with his wife Charlotte, in tottenham.

2. 1901 census for Lewis Taylor living with his wife Margaret and their dughter charlotte, in tottenham.

just a little add on, I have found a charles l taylor born 1852 on the 1971 census, he is born in islington and his occupation is clerks merchant officer (not sure what that is??). On the 1901 census Charles Lewis occupation is car.... (then a big gap) Builders.



Not sure if this is the same Charles Lewis?!?!?!?!?!?

sorry me again, just posting these so I dont waste peoples time,I have just stumbles across the 1881 census where charles lewis is down as lewis taylor with his wife charlotte and his two children lewis and charlotte, the ages are right for all of them, places of birth for charlotte and lewis snr are right, but for lewis junior says islington and another census says holloway.....should I assume this is the right record??? Also, Charles Lewis occupations in carman in this census which I know was to do with building.

dont shout at me!!!!! got the 1891 with charlotte and charles lewis on now......this time he is LOUIS!!!!
