My Houghton Kendrick brickwall

I am hoping some kind person may be able to help me in my "brick wall" i have just started looking in to my gt, gt, gt, gt, grandmothers family amd i have something i am not sure is the correct record although it does look like a strong possiblity.
Hers the family details;
Andrew Harris(son) born 1799 in Droitwich worcestershire she was sometimes known as harris and sometimes harrison, was married to Elizabeth Houghton Kendrick, they married on 27th july 1819 at st andrews church in Droitwich Worcestershire, Elizabeth was christened on 26th September 1801 at Dodderhill, worcestershire giving parents as Edward Houghton and Jane Kendrick, i am unable to find any records of Elizabeths parentage for definate, i have found a Jane Kendrick marrying a Martin Houghton in1810 in Droitwich Wocestershire a little late for Elizabeths birth as she was born circa 1801, i am just trying to get some solid details of Elizabeths parentage, so any help i would be really grateful for, i just dont want to assume that martin and jane are her parents, as i have in the past followed a wrong line and its so annoying, i hope this is enough information to help with a search.

Do you have any certifcates for the information you have given or could you tell us where you have got your dates from as I cannot find any thing to help you at the moment. I was concentrating on Elzabeth as her surname is a definate but cannot find her with Andrew . If you could let us know I can do a bit more digging?

Thank you for your quick response to my query.
It is a few years ago that i got the info on andrews marriage from the Bromsgrove records office, All i have here is that Andrew Harris(son) was baptised on 24th Feb 1799 at st andrews church in droitwich in worcestershire, his parents were Winter harris and Hannah Timmings.
The marriage of Andrew is on familysearch, dont forget sometimes he was recorded as harrison not harris, also on family search is a jane kendrick marrying a martin houghton, i got elizabeths mothers name of jane off the 1841 census for andrew and elizabeth, as there is a jane houghton aged 70 living with them, which looks very much like elizabeths mother.

I was looking for something concrete to work with. Therefore are Andrew and Elizabeth the confirmed names.I will have a look on family search although I tend to require their information needs to backed up with another confirmation and I will have a look on the 1841 census for Worcester.

Yes Andrew Harris/on is the correct name, and on his marriage record it says elizabeth houghton kendrick, i dont live in worcestershire so cannot get to the records office there easliy.

it could also be possible that E H Kendricks mother was married before the 1810 to a brother of Edward Houghton. I have searched one like that for a friend of mine.

How sure are you she was baptised at Dodderhill? is it possible she was baptised elsewhere?

I checked the IGI for Eliizabeth's birth. This is an extracted record so should be fairly accurate. But like other records it has been transcribed from the parish records and could have some wrong details. I think the only way you will find out is to check the parish records themselves which should be in the archives/records center at Worcester. If you are unable to do a search in person I would either write to the records office or telephone and ask them for help. It should be a fairly straightforward look up - you have the baptosmal date. You may have to fill in a request form for a search though which I think can be from as little as 1/2 hour. Also google because I think SOG may have some records too. Also a good site for information is Genuki. Perhaps the parents did not marry until later some were not in a position to marry before. I wonder what Martin's occupation was?

I have checked the parish records for Dodderhill and can find no Houghtons or Kendricks. Your option would appear to be as suggested by pejay in the previous post.
