    Default 69th Regiment of Foot - 1800 - 1820

Hello, I am trying to find military records for one of my Grandfathers.

    Name: Henry Draper
    Born: 1784 in Brentwood Essex
Married: Sept 9, 1806 to Hannah Rapley at Havering-atte-Bower in St John the Evangelist Church
Died: 1865 at South Weald Essex. I believe he's buried in St Peter's Church yard.
Before he died he was living in an "Alms House"

On his children's Baptism Certificates in 1813 and again in 1816 he lists his occupation as Soldier 69th Regiment and Private 69th Regiment of Foot.
The children were Baptized at Brentwood, St Thomas of Canterbury Church.

I'm anxious to record his military service. Can anyone help me find out where he was stationed in England, what action he might have seen and just about anything. Be very grateful for any and all help. Irene

Do you have him on the census I found him on the 1851 a widower age 66 living at 17 Brook St, South Weald, with John Green head age 51, Ann Wife 50, John & timothy Bridge ages 16 & 14 both down as son in laws. Henry is down as a Sawyer. so when he left the Army I am not sure, the 69th of foot was a south Lincolnshire Regt amalgamated into the Welsh regt in 1881. I have not found any records for him yet
