sharlota Lowen born c1900. married 1920 Epping, Essex

wondered if anyone can give me a headstart, looking for SHARLOTA Lowen.

she married June qtr 1920 in Epping District, Essex. I will apply for the certificate but dont have any money at the moment, so was looking for clues as to who she is.... she married James william Nicholls and had 3 children (all born Epping District, lived Loughton, Essex)

i have searched 1911 & 1901, looked for Sharlota, sharlotta, charlotta, charlotte.... searched for births - no SHARLOT* recorded that i can see.

any ideas before i get the marriage cert?

I noticed the marriage reg has her name as Sharloter. This is possibly a mistranscription. The best thing to do I think is send for the marriage certificate it may give further details. Have you checked for her death? also you could try for one of the children's birth certs and see what her name is on that.

Yes I agree with Pejay on this one Lisa and for you to progress any further you need to have a copy of the marriage cert... There is a Charlotte Lowen born 1905 Barnet 3a 403.. I also notice on freebmd there are a few births recorded for Lowen for Epping..These could very well be siblings but to be sure you need to have a copy of the marriage cert..

I wonder if your sharlota had a sibling named Clara Augusta? Maybe she did but you really need to know her Fathers name and only the marriage cert will tell you that..

I would also check the location for Woodford Essex..Too many Lowens born Epping to know which is the right one..Also Islington area..

same family can be found in 1911 with the addition of daughter violet aged 8 and son Charles aged 1. charlotte senior is down as wife but her husband is not there. 7 children born with one dead.

wow, i go to work - do a night shift or two and youve found some options.

thank you so much, wont know for sure without that certificate i think. her daughter says her name was charlota, but it could be any of them like you say.
