Hallo,
Welcome to Ancestry Aid. We're glad you've joined us here.
Yes ! adoption can be difficult but things are much better now and there is all sorts of help out there.
So here's hoping! Let us know if we can help in any way.
If you think folk involved may be alive then you can send info by private message by clicking on the name.(after you've made three posts).
Have a look around the site. Check out the faqs. If you need any help just ask.
I am assuming this is a uk adoption? Have you tried this site UK Birth Adoption Register
Also www.gro.gov.uk(the general register office site) has links to adoption. One can register one's name here and birth relatives may get in touch. Also since 1975 adopted children can apply for the original birth cert issued before the adoptive one. A name and a place on this is enough to trace birth parents- so this might be your first objective. Again the GRO site will tell you how to apply for this.
Good Luck!

Copy this 'finding birth parents' into Google and you will find a number of sites on finding birth parents. some are free some are not.
Do know anything about your Mother, place of birth etc. were you adopted from birth or from a childrens home, what if anything have/did your adopted parents tell you about who your mother might be. Childrens homes keep records. Churches can also help.
Its a tall task to take on but the more you know the easier it will be.
