Ackerman of Gloucestershire & South Africa

Hi again! This is linked in with my previous post about the Stokes'. The Ackerman family came to Gloucester, UK from Wynberg, South Africa on 13 Jan 1963. Arthur Phillipus Ackerman b. 21 11 1919, his wife Johanna Louisa Bender b. 2 Dec 1920 & their daughter Norma Magdalene Ackerman. Arthur's father was Frederick Ackerman b. 16 2 1890 in SA & his mother was Sophie Sethulla (not sure of spelling) b. 11 Mar 1893 in Germany. To make things even more interesting the Ackerman's and Bender's are thought to have come from Holland originally.

I am having real difficulty finding anything about this family. I have looked on the usual recommended websites & have tried South African sites to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this ball rolling?

Thanks noggin28 for taking the time look into the BMDs for me, I can now add this additional info into the tree. My next job is to start tracing the family back to South Africa and beyond! Any help and/ or advice would be hugely appreciated.
