    Default Search for Starr.

    How great it is to be able to run to you when I hit a brickwall. One branch of our family has the STARR family. The info I have is limited But this is what I have. Thomas STARR m. Hannah HEAD [when?] His birth is unknown. How many children did they have? I know of one, Thomas STARR B.4/8/1822 He married Jane Short and Margaret SPICER both in NSW. They had 5 children. You can see my questions and the gaps, if you can help I'd truly appreciate you valuable time. My very best to all Listers for 2012. Hawks

    Hi Hawks, Lovely to see you back on AA and we are only too pleased to lend a helping hand..Do you have the death cert for Thomas Starr who married Hannah Head? The death cert will tell you how old he was at the time of death..It will also record all of his childrens names..

    There are a few public member trees on A******y that records Thomas Starr and Hannah Head's marriage for 1808..

    Thomas Starr Birth July 1783 in Hollington, Sussex, England Death 15 Jan 1871 in Grafton, NSW, Australia


    age 87 years..

    Parents of Thomas are recorded as being John Starr and Mary Stamp..

    Another child recorded for Thomas and Hannah is Edmond Starr ...

    Birth abt 1816 in Hollington, East Sussex, EnglandDeath abt 1902 in Grafton, NSW, Australia
    Fathers name Thomas..

    I have found Edmund Starr birth year about 1816 on his arrival to Australia..

    Age 22 years..31 August 1838 Arrival date..

    Hawks, One tree on A******y is very informative and seems correct with its findings and even has a photo of Thomas..It records the marriage as 1808..(18th April) Hollington Sussex England..

    Children..17 in all..

    Phyllis Starr born 1809 Hollington Sussex...George born 1811 Hollington..
    There are more births recorded for Thomas and Hannah 17 in all and lists their names and gives all their information.. I wonder if it might be worth your while in contacting the tree owner..

    All are possible if he was born in 1822. If he stayed in Bathurst where the children are born the first looks like a good bet.

    It states he reads but as no employment.

    ? looks like Alexander Campbell.
