Hallo trurogirl and welcome to Aa.
I have moved your post because it will be seen more easily here.
I have had a quick look on A*****y and there seems to be quite a lot of people doing Moorcom from Cornwall/ photos and info etc.
Can you give us any more information please such as his birthplace and wife's name. If he was born in 1901 he may be on 1901 and 1911 censuses.
Regards Lola

this looks like the most likely birth - meaning he just missed 1901 census
name: MORCOM, Henry Registration District: Redruth County: Cornwall Year of Registration: 1901 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun Volume No: 5C Page No: 172
did he just go over on his own for a small while. his death seems to be in uk
though his emigration record states he intends to reside in US

Here it is Welsh lady
Henry Morcom a miner aged 29 residence USA and his address in Britain was Telegraph St. St Day Cornwall. He came on the ship Montcalm from Montreal canada, Canadian Pacific line. Arrived 14 July 1930.
Many thanks Lola5
What a fantastic site.
Henry was born in Crofthandy, St Day, Cornwall. I know his birth was registered April May June so he missed the 1901 census. His wife's name was Alice Clymow married in 1922 & daughter Joyce born 1923.
