Thread: 1871 walker newcastle

I have a family Thomas Keegan b.c 1842 Ireland (Mar 18 aug 1868 Walker)
wife Johanna (Hannah) B,1851 Ireland
son John b 1869 Wallsend /Walker Northumberland (7 June 1869 Bell street Walker)

I've got Thomas on the 81 and 91 (both had died by the 1901)

I just can't find them on the 1871
the next surviving child was born 11 aug 1873 in Sunderland then back to walker/Wallsend
so they could have been in either place in 71
What's making it difficult is Keegan can be spelt so many different ways
I've a sub on A******y but might go back to FMP when it runs out
I'd be grateful if anyone can find them

Hello searcher first I slightly edited your post as we cannot mention paying sites or sites where you have to register in full. No I cannot find them on the 1871 census either. What was his occupation? could he have moved around to find work? The name could indeed have been mistranscribed it may even have been transcribed along the lines of - say Heegan
