Default Try Family of Surrey Links

I am trying to link the Try family who centre in the Beddington Surrey area in the 19th century (who later live in Windsor, Berkshire) with those from St Pancras and Rickmansworth and also another branch from Cornwall. Has anyone researching this family come across these links? Once I can link to the St Pancras Trys / Rickmansworth Trys I have a very large family tree I can add.

ANy ideas would be great - the earliest direct ancestors are I can trace are Edward Try b.c.1816 whoi marries a Mary Duff.

    Any help would be appreciated

You need to provide us with a bit more info. There are 84 Try(s) in the 1841 census alone. 153 in 1851, 274 in 1861, 118 in 1871. Who are you trying to link together?

    Hi Hearne,
    Lots of Duffs in Cornwall.
Got any Lucretia's in your Try family as Lucretia was a popular name with Cornish Duffs from Redruth and Scilly Isles?Mary Duff.... might be the Cornish Link.
Where was Edward Try 1816 born/christened?

I am trying first off to find the parents of Edward Try born about 1816 who married Mary Duff in 1836 at Beddington Surrey. The parish register describes Edward Try of being 'of ?Westerham, Kent'. Unfortunately his parents name are not given in the parish register. I am also uncertain where he died either. The parish register entry is on a******* but Edward Try's place of abode has an ink splodge over it and is also faded so I may have got the place wrong - here is a link to the register.. A********

Any help would be most appreciated

I think I have now found Edward Try's father - John who is shown living with his mother in law Ann Duff at Beddington Surrey on the 1841 census - so hopefully this might help to move the tree backwards.
