Who are you looking for George Bannister or William Tomlinson?

    BANNISTER George free McCABE Ann Lord Auckland 26 FEB 1850 CON52/1/3 p26 RGD37/9 : 1850/815

    taken from Archives Search Portal

According to the above the George Bannister was not a convict but a free man.
The bride Ann McCabe was a convict who was on the ship Lord Auckland.

Should we be looking for the father of George Bannister which must have been his real name if his alias was William Tomlinson.
