Thread: Any clues for a school for Thomas Lot Hinwood, Malmesbury?

Dear Ancestry Aid,

I have promised my dad that I would find out what school hisgreat grandfather went to!! I am failing miserably at the moment!

His name is Thomas Lot Hinwood and he was born in RamsburyWiltshire in 1838. He lived in Malmesbury and according to his biography (apage in a book that I bought), went to a "private school. We thought itwould be interesting to see if we could work out which school it was.

The clues may be in 1851 - I seem to have a scrapbookstuffed full of Hinwood notes, but no record for 1851. Was he at school at thistime?

I will try to attach a couple of photos, one possibly of himin his posh school uniform!
