Who are Emma Amelia Clarkes's parents?

In the 1891 census for 7, Castle Yard, Walthamstow is a family by the name of Clarke.

William 1835 Gardener BarkingEssex
Amelia 1837 Chingford Essex
George 1864 Gardener Walthamstow Essex
Albert 1873 Gardener Walthamstow Essex
Emma Cowles Daughter 1881 Scholar Halesworth Suffolk (middle name Amelia)**

According to the 1911 census William Clarke and Amelia have been married for 55 years.

The only marriage I could find was a William and Amelia Sapsford in1856.

Not sure but on the 1901 census I found a Robert Cowles age 16 down as Grandson also born in Halesworth. The only marriage I could find was june qr 1887 at W.Ham 4a 83 there was an Amelia Denney on the page. Do you think they are perhaps a private fostering? some relation of Amelia perhaps?

Also on the 1891 census living at Chediston St Halesworth are - Herbert Cowles and wife Emma with - George son 11, Robert A son 3. Jessie E daugh 2 Louisa M daugh 11months and also an Edith S Clarke sister age 15

Noggin Hi, A relative of mine is related to the Sapsford's..My Grandfathers brother Frederick Morton married Maria Sapsford..Maria Elizabeth Sapsford was born Bromley 1883..I have only the one Sapsford name in my tree Maria, but my cousin has many Sapsford names..Funny you should also mention the surname Clarke as my Grandfather was born Clarke but kept his Mothers maiden name of Morton..I am now wondering if my Great Great Grandfather George Clarke could have been related somehow to the Sapsfords? Still working on that one arn't we Lola..If I can help Noggin would be pleased to put you in contact with my cousin..

Noggin, Have just looked at a public member tree on A******y and it seems Maria Sapsford was the daughter of Thomas Sapsford and Mary Ann Sweeney..Thomas Sapsford her Father was born in Hatfield Essex..The name Amelia does not appear as one of Maria's siblings but I dare say there is a connection..

Amelia Sapsford married William Clarke in Hackney 11th May 1856...Amelia,s Father Charles Sapsford born Hatfield 14th January 1810 was the brother of Maria's Father Thomas Sapsford above..

And it does Pejay..Robert Augustine Cowles born Halesworth was the son of Herbert Cowles and Emma Clarke. Emma Clarke was the daughter of William Clarke and Amelia Sapsford..Some trees on A******y have mistranscribed the surname as Sapsworth.
