There are at least 10 REAL baptisms in Limerick between 1848 and 1855 on just one place I looked but no Reale with an e.
Can you give a date of birth. Did he marry in Australia or Ireland? Do you have any marriage details for him.
Hopefully Elwyn will come soon. She is good with Irish stuff.

In the passenger list it states he sailed from Liverpool. Do you know if he was living there before he sailed.

I can answer some of the questions. One researcher has it that John Reale was born 1859 in Tipperary not Limerick so don't know which county is his birth place.
He married in Australia to Mary Ann Milgate on 1 February 1886 in Lismore and I have it that 8 children were born. There 3rd child Alice married Jacob Lollback whose family originated from Baden Germany. They had 3 children that I know of and one of them is Mannix's mother. She married Kevin William Mannix Renshaw who was the son of Edmond Sylvester Renshaw and Madeline Blake. Edmond Renshaw was the son of Felix Peter Renshaw and Anastasia Madeline Cummins (my GG Aunt). John Reale died 13 December 1913 in Ballina New South Wales and Mary Ann died 1917 in Ballina. On the death registration for John Reale it has his parents as Patrick Reale and Mary Unknown.
The Cummins and Renshaw families came from Ireland. I have not researched the Blake family yet.
