Civilian air raid victims.

According to family whispers my aunt, a patient in the North Middlesex Hospital, Silver Street, Edmonton, London, was killed when it was hit during an air raid (1942?). The hospital have no records from that time but I was told that the IWM kept civilian victims records. They say not, so who does, if anyone? I have her name and DOB but no other details. Any help please.

Another site you might find interesting is Pymmes Villas, Silver Street, Edmonton, a casualty of the Edmonton blitz of World War Two
This has a photo or two of silver st and may have some links. The links lead to interesting snippets of information by folk who lived there. There is a photo of the hospital.

Thanks for your replies. Didn't realise CWGC did civilian deaths. Tried it without success but revisited BMD and found someone who fits but in a different area, Camberwell. Looked up the hospitals, N Middx. hit by 6 He bombs, several buildings destroyed but nothing about deaths. Camberwell has the Kings College Hospital, used for the treatment of air raid victims. Now I'm wondering if she was injured, transfered to KCH and subsequently died there. Am sending off for death cert.. Will visit the other sites and try for more info.. Thanks again.
As far as I am aware CWGC do not do civilian deaths only armed forces, I could be wrong though. Anything at the national archives?. If you have an idea of the year of death you may be as well to send for the death cert. At least you will know what she died of!

CWGC do have some civilian deaths, here's an example. I'm not sure how comprehensive they are though.

You are not alone pejay! I too thought the CWGC was only for military war dead.
I didn't know either peejay/Lola5 so it looks as if we have all learnt something. At least it got me thinking and I found another lead. I sometimes get stuck in a single train of thought and need a nudge from other people, so all comments are appreciated.
That's the beauty of AA's forums isn't it? We all learn from each other. Sharing information and expertise, I know I've learned a lot form other members.
