Hi there, my son and I are planning a trip to the UK next year and I would like to visit the place my father was born in. The only info I have is his address was The Grove near Lambeth, and that he was Baptised at Windlesham St John The Baptist in 1900. His birth date was 15/10/1900. His parents were Frank and Jeanine Hardwidge.
Any help would be greatly appricated.

I have found Frank and Jeannie's marriage26 Jan 1899 at St. Mary's Church Lambeth Surrey. Frank was a bachelor and a Gentleman age 30,(father John Harwidge) and Jeannie a spinster aged 19 (father Henry Lambert). They were living at 32 The Grove Vauxhall.St. Mary Lambeth.
Windlesham is a leafy Surrey suburb some distance from Lambeth.
If you google St John the Baptist Church Windlesham Surrey you should get information on the church. Google Windlesham Surrey and you will find info on the place.
You will need to get a map of the areas you are planning to visit before you come.
Have a look at this site: Home Page.
This should give you some information on the Vauxhall area.
The Lambeth archives is the place for records.
Do you need info on Frank through the censuses or do you have this?
I am sure others with a greater knowledge of the area will have l information that will help.
