Hi, I am looking for information about my great uncle forename Robertson surname Mathew/ Matthew he was born 1861 in Peterhead Scotland. The only information I have is he was on the 1881 UK census in Peterhead, in April 1908 he arrived in Glasgow from New York aboard The Furnessia occupation ships fitter, on the 16 October 1909 he was headed back to New York {aged 48} claims to be a US citizen. Thats all I have found on him, would like to know if he was married, where he was between 1881 and 1908 and what happened to him after 1909.

there is a Robertson Mathew listed on the New South Wales Australia, Unassisted immigrant passenger list on A**********ry. Sorry dont have worldwide to look at the details......
perhaps someone else on A.A can help with this.

Thanks Janet, I have all this information, it is where did Robertson junior go after 1881 and if and when he became a American citizen. Also what happened to him after leaving Glasgow in October 1909. Robertson senior was the one who went to Australia although he had returned to Peterhead by the time the 1881 UK census was done he died there in 1911. Thanks again for trying.
