i have traced various bits of the family back to 1600s but have bits missing, one of these bits is hannah owen/shellards parents and what became of her after marrying robert shellard. also her grandaughte, kate owen who is my great grandmother born in sulgrave 1882 and mother to my grandad 1897, cant find her again after this,

I cannot find Hannah in 1861, but three Hannah Shellard deaths were registered in Brackley Northant's between 1851 - 61.

Emma and Tamor were in the Union Workhouse Brackley in 1861.

Still looking for Robert in 1861, in 1871 he's a widow living with his parents in Sulgrave.

I'll take a look for baby George in 1861.

I've checked two sites for Robert in 1861 but not found him.

George appears to be with Robert's parents, also William Owen is with them but he's been entered as 10yrs, probably by an enumerator who'd had a liquid lunch

In 1901, Kate was a general Domestic Servant at 18, Preston Road, Prittlewell, Rochford, Essex. RG13; Piece: 1680; Folio: 65; Page: 40.

Is your Grandfather Arthur Owen, living in 1901 with his aunt and uncle Richard and Dinah Cooknell?

Arthur is still with Richard and Dinah in 1911, they are living in Rochford Essex.

Unfortunately Hannah was not living with her family in 1841, she and Robert Shellard were both servants in Binley, Foleshill.

The only Hannah Owen baptism within a reasonable tiimeframe which I have found is: Anna Owen, 06 MAY 1821 Brinklow, Warwick, England, no father's name entered, mother Elizabeth

hi slizzy, yes thats the one, hannah had william at the age of 15 or 16 i think the father was robert shellards brother, william who was listed as a soldier, but could find nothing else on him
