I have found the freeReg website an invaluable search tool for finding Baptism,marriage and death information. Transcribed from original documents, I managed to find information about Ancestors from Norfolk, England. There is a list of Counties in a drop down menu, a majority of the Counties listed have been transcribed while some others are in the process of being done. This site even solved a mystery in my ancestry. It is work a look for anyone looking for Ancestors in England.

Anyone looking for information about ancestors in Sutherland, Scotland should visit the County Sutherland Website. Lots of useful tips and there are also some Militia lists and Burials. Also on the site is an invaluable insight in to the Highland clearances which would also explain why a lot of Scottish Highland Clans were dispersed. There is also a list of some of the Sutherland Highland People who went to the Red River Settlement in North America.
