    Default Richard Lane

My great grandfather was named Richard Lane, born Bermondsey circa 1818-he married Eliza Hutchings.I have Richard Lane from Beddington as his father(not sure of his dob),who I think married twice-first marriage to Mary Williams 25.7.1802,then second marriage to Sarah Chubb 28.1.1811.As for the father of Richard from Beddington I have another Richard Lane, baptised Darenth,Kent 19.2.1758,spouse unknown. The name of his parents MAY be Richard and Sarah, but I am unable to find any dates, surnames etc to tie in.I have details of my great grandfather's siblings but would like ANYTHING on the other two ancestors and beyond if possible.I live in Spain, which makes my research all the harder,so any info would be very much appreciated.

ok well i can see your great grandfather on the census and can see his marriage to eliza hutchings (bth full age) which confirms his father is named richard and deceased at the time of marriage in 1839.

ther is a richard lane born 1818 bermondsey who dies young so will have to be careful not to get confused over his parents

    Parish: St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey
    County: Surrey Borough: Southwark
States both of the same Parish

London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921
    Name: Richard Lane
    Spouse Name: Mary Williams (widow)
    Record Type: Marriage
    Marriage Date: 25 Jul 1802
    Parish: St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey

States both of the same Parish.

These are two marriages for a Richard Lane, neither show the name of a father so it is not possible to say if they are the same Richard.
