My grandmother was Rose Hannah Whitaker.She was born in Halifax west yorkshire in 1905.I have her marriage cert.. She married Fred Kenyon ,april 20 1935. .Her father is down as George William Whitaker (deceased). Residence at time of marriage,31 terrace st. sowerby bridge halifax west yorks.One of the witness' was ethel whitaker,maybe her sister not sure.would someone be able to check the 1911 census please to see if I can get any more info,mothers name etc.

At the time of the 1911 Rose was the surviving only child of George. (Two children having died.) There is a marriage of George William Whitaker , to Caroline Clark in Halifax in Qtr 4 1901 Vol 9a Page 815 that I suggest may be her parents.

What was the occupation of George William Whittaker deceased. Does it say( on the marriage cert of his daughter)?
Here is Rose Hannah Whitaker's birth Sept quarter 1904 Halifax West Yorkshire, GRO number 9a, 435
If you could get a copy of this cert it would give her mother's name and address of Rose's birth.

His occupation on the cert. is Labourer. George is married to caroline clarke on 1911 census and living at Luddenden not far from sowerby bridge. found her aged 17 in 1891 in barnsley where she was born. Her mother is Rose Hannah Clarke so must be right parents.
