According to the census she was born in (south?) Benfleet Essex in 1861. I have found her in census after her marriage. Can anyone find her with her parents in 1871/61 ? I also need her Birth reg.

I think on the 1861 the Name of Esther was mis spelt. Also on the 1871. Place of Birth
were switched. Elizabeth to Pitsea. and Esther to South Benfleet. It would appear the Elizabeth
was adopted by Frederick Arbor.

I could not find Marriage. or death of Cockett
noggin, Bronson,
Esther Cockett Harrod birth Jan Feb Mar. 1838 Billericay Essex 12,10
Esther Cockett Harrod marriage Oct/Nov Dec 1863 Billericay Essex 4a,198a to Fred Arbor.
The registration district for Pitsea is Billericay.
Did Elizabeth Cockett of Dengie Essex marry James Harrod and gave some of the children her surname as a middle name?
There were a lot of Ccketts in Dengie and surrounding areas. (see SEAX site.)
Esther is given as unmarried on the 1861 census at home with her dau. 1 mth.
James Harrod's father was John and his mother was Ann Nye .

I found Ester in the 1841 census and from that I think her parents are James Harrod 1799 of Pitsea, Essex and Elizabeth Ottway abt 1800 of Denge, Essex. they married in 1831.
also in the same census is a James Cockett b 1811, do not know relationship. Could be that James was married before to Cockett as there is a son John born 1821.
There is also a Ann Harrod on the census b abt 1771.
