Thread: William GLOVER & Hannah SHELLEY

Hi everybody,

Can't believe I'm sitting infront of my computer, we are blessed with a beautiful day and I should really be out in the garden. Well here is the family I'm struggling with.
This is what I have:-

- William GLOVER (1851 Stafford - abt 1927 Stafford)
married Hannah SHELLEY (1846 Lan Oak Stafford - abt 1915 Stafford)
they had the following children:-
--Edith Mary GLOVER (1871 Eccleshall, Staffordshire)
--Gerty GLOVER (1873 Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire)
--Lizzie GLOVER (1874 born as above)
--Florrie GLOVER (1876 as above)
--William Harry GLOVER (1878 as above)
--Maude Olive GLOVER (1881 as above) married John Adam PARTINGTON
--George Henry GLOVER (1884 as above)
--Beatrice Hannah GLOVER (1886 as above)

Can anybody tell me what happened to these children. I can't find anything except for births.

Dear Rubina,
Unfortunately I can only check the 1881 census records online and therefore would appreciate some details from the other census records. Thank you for your look-up.

Hi Welshlady,
Oh my, now you have thrown the cat amongst the pigeons! This record looks like it could be my Florie, even her brother Harry of two years younger is listed. But, if I look at the spelling of her name, it seems that it is consistently spelt with an 'ie' at the end and not 'y', (if you consider the other census records put forward here)....don't know if this would make a difference?? I'm going to see if I can find a marriage record for William Marshall and Hannah Glover(nee Shelley). How does the Bragg surname fit into this record?
