Thread: Fred Pierpoint Marrage

Hello I am hopeing someone will have in there family tree an Annie Graham who married Fred Pierpoint, my grandfather in 1902 in Salford. There address at the time was East wynford st salford which was Annies Home. I am trying to trace Freds movements from then up till 1918 when he married my Grandmother then from 1919 when he dissapeared althogether. Fred was born around 1879. I would love to hear from anyone who might have him or Annie Graham as a relative.Thanks

Freds occupation was a joiner at the time of his marriage to Annie then in 1918 it states joiner/ journeyman, His father was Thomas and he was an architect. I have details from the entire census and have also found him on Ellis Island records. But nothing after 1919. I can’t find a death record. And i don’t have a birth certificate, on the 1911 census records he was born in Worcester where his parents were married, but his brother was born in South Africa. But on the 1901 it said he was born there too. He gives different ages on documents i have so not sure when he was born. When he married in 1902 he stated he was 23 then when he married my grandmother in 1918 he said he was 28! On both certificates he stated he was a bachelor. I'm wondering if he was still married when he married my Grandmother. In the following year the Ellis Island record states he’s 38 and another ship record said he was 30. He seems to go by the name Fred although on my mother’s birth certificate it’s down as Thomas Frederick Pierpoint. Both marriage certificates say Fred. I have been trying for 30 years to trace him.

Thanks for that i will look into it. I wish there was some way of reading a death certificate without buying them just in case there the wrong ones.But that would be too easy.
