    Default Brick wall with Webster and Fortoun/Fortune/Firtane

    Hello- I am stuck finding the ancestors of Isabel Webster born 27 Oct 1754 born in Errol, Perth. She married Thomas Kettles, b circa 1762 in Dunbarney, Perth. His father was Robert Kettle(s).

    Isabel's parents were James Webster and Helen Fortoun/Fortune/Firtane (I have come across it spelled all three ways). I have no dates. James and Helen's other children that I know of were John, Ann, James, and there may have been an Isabel who died before the second Isabel was born.

    Any help with the ancestors of James Webster and or Helen Fortoun/Fortune/Firtane would be much appreciated.

    Have you checked out Scotland's People for this information? I suspect, given that you have got back to 1754 already that you have!
