    Default RANDS marriages

    Hi
Hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction.
I have a Louisa RANDS born 3 Mar 1881 in Grimsby. She married John George TURNER born 1876 in Scarborough died at sea 21 Oct 1917 (confirmed) I believe they had 5 children but no dates yet. She then married Frederick Barney OSBORNE born 1878 Loddon Norfolk early 1920 all unconfirmed. Family gossip says that he was a bigamist but after the birth of 2 daughters Louisa in 1920 and Gladys 1922 (confirmed) the trail goes stone cold. Louisa then married a Scot Tom RODGER with some connection with a big train crash and finally married Thomas MATTHEWS. I have no idea of dates, other children etc. Would the bigamous marriage have any bearing on future marriages?

Sorry if it is a big ask so early in my membership but any help would be much appreciated Our local library hasn't broken down any of these walls

    Regards

    Dave

    Hi there Dave!

I can offer you loads of expertise with pre 1900's and most particulary with any Scottish heritage! Let me know if you need any research re this! However, anything post 1900 I am a bit of a duffer! I am sure that the Moderators on this site will be able to point you in the right direction on anything else.

Thanks Slizzy something concrete to work from The only children the family have mentioned are Alice who died young ( this came from Gladys 2nd daughter of the Turner-Osborne marriage who said she remembered seeing her laid out) and David who lived in Grimsby at some point. Many thanks
