    Hi seeker!

I too have looked for both Jean and husband John without any success! I have tried finding the kids after 1861 with no luck either! Have you got the kids in 1871 or 1881 or any after this?

Have you looked for deaths for any of them? I am wondering if it worth you looking at emigration?

Hi. THanks. I have nothing on them as yet. I am on a hunch that Jean is the wayward daughter of James and Clementina Ireland, but not sure. I will check for deaths etc. Thanks

    Hi!

Best I can come up so far is John Cargill in 1841:
    Arbroath ED8 Page 22 Line 1

    Isabella - 20
    Mary - 20
    John - 20 - Merchant Seaman
    Helen Can - 75

I thought this was a strong potential given that the 1861 shows John as being a Seaman. Very odd that there are three all aged 20 - however, I have only looked at the transcription because of cost. Also wonder if Helen CAN has been correctly transcribed.

There are several John Cargills around the area and also Jean's. Are you sure about the 1861 family?

Hi Rubina. Thanks for your help. I am not sure about them. Just trying to tie up ends. Cheers
