Hird and Ellis marriage

Hi
I told a friend at work i would have a quick look for her parents marriage so she could get cert and start her tree on her fathers side, well its turned out to not be a quick look cos i cant find it, wondered if anyone else can.

Her father died when she was about two so knows nothing about his family.

Except

He was called George William Hird he died Sep 1952 Sheffield (found this easy enough as it was her uncle on her mothers side that registered the death) she thought he was about 40 and seems define on the fact he was from Stannington Sheffield. He had a brother Ted who married a Nelly and a sister Gladys. One is full sibling and one is step not sure which. The story is Margaret lived at home with parents and siblings no-one knew Margaret was pregnant until the day she had the baby they were not married at this time and i can't find any marriage between them angela did seem to think they spent a lot of time in London so could of got married there.

Her mother Margaret Ellis born 21 Aug 1926 (quite a bit younger than George) and died Sep 1989 chesterfield. - Her parents Frederick George Ellis and Jessie Kidnew.

using the free 1911 index there are the three children on it in wortley with a george hind born 1880 and and alice born 1887. this mariage to an alice wilkinson fits with the story of soemone being a stepchild ie edwin born 1910

Welsh lady you are so clever, i found the Frederick and Jessie bits marriage etc (and they are the right family in the census with john and Annie as parents), but was stumped with the Hird side, at least even if her parents never got married she has a starting place now i also plumbed for the 1904 George, its just nice for someone else to come to the same conclusion. Never thought Ted would be Edwin lol i was searching for an Edward and changing Nelly to Ellen etc.

Looking at the poss births of george senior in 1880 and poss marriages before the one to alice Wilkinson leads me to believe this marriage etc is best fit but would need more work on it with certs to prove.

cant read occupation but looks something like cannister grinder. if you can work out what this is it might fit with the occupation on the second marriage or on childrens birth certs.
