If he is still alive then you cannot put his name on here but if you private message me his name and date and place of birth I will have a look and see if I can find details for you so that you can order a birth cert.
To pm someone I think you just click on their name.... try it and see.

There could be a few reasons for not yet finding an indication of him on the GRO index. Yes please remember not to put down names of living people as Lola5 says use the pm system

Where and when was he born and where did he die . Was it Wrexham, Preston Lancs or Blackburn?

He was born in Preston Lancashire 1918 we think, and died in Preston in Feb 1970.
He was Known as Jonh Caton Billington.

There was a marriage between Thomas Billington and Margaret CATON in Preston Lancashire Qtr 2 1916, vol 8e page 1056. Could the preson you are seeking their child?

The only birth I could then find was for a Jennie Billington in 1918!!!!!

Have you got the marriage cert for John Caton Billington? That will give father's name and profession. Do you know if JCB married in Preston? There are several Thomas Billingtons in Preston.
