Default St Mary Magdalene Church Woolwich lookup

Is there any one who could possibly do a a marriage look up for me. My 2 g grandfather John George Gorton (7 Dec 1805) was born, lived and worked in Whitechapel in London, his wife Sarah Dubock (1806) the same, later in life they moved to Essex. Now the bit I don't understand, according to IGI records they married 28 Feb 1829 at St Mary Magdalene Church Woolwich. This doesn't sit happily with me. Any look up or thoughts much appreciated.
    John

Wow that was a quick reply, many many thanks. I have to say I still find it odd that he should marry outside of Whitechapel. I wonder did this go as far as having his sons baptized there also. John George Gorton (c1831) and Charles Gorton (22 Mar 1845) Sorry to be taking advantage like but this has been niggling at me for 10 years now.

    Thanks again John

    Hi John,

You are welcome. His children all seem to have been baptised at St Mary Whitechapel. Are you aware there were other children besides John George, and Charles?
