looking for pre 1700

Hello there a family member has made a family tree but it just stops at 1645 and cant find anything further.His name was Marmaduke Forrest born in 1645 he was married to a lady called Annam Walton born 1645 i can find him on Google but that is as far back as i can find does not say who his father is or mother any help would be great thanks.

Hello davec495 it does start to get a bit more diffixult when one has to rely on parish records. These do not always have much info on them and the writing can be very difficult to read. However it is probably worth looking at do you know the area where he was born? if so You could try sites like the Hugh Wallis site. You could also contact local archives/records offices. Parish record first started in the reigh of Queen Elizabeth1. But they were ver sporadic and often in latin. You are very lucky getting back to 1645.

hello i took a look at the hugh willas site found out a few more details i was missin ie marrage dates .but still no sign of Marmadukes parents the area the family seem to be in was Hexham in Northumberland. Also it seems on some records Forrest spelt as Forest. Thank you for your help so far
