Hi LorraineO,
The marriage I found above could be the Thomas who was Father of Ellen and Glady's..The marriage certificate will tell you if Thomas was a widow when he married..It will also give you his profession..Professions do change on certificates but this might be your best option for now..I wil keep looking for you..

Hi Lorraine,
All we can do for now is speculate what area your ancestors were from, if we had found an Ellen and Gladys born in the same registration district, and maybe found either one of them on the latest census with father Thomas we could have helped you further, but I certainly haven't found either an Ellen or a Gladys with father named Thomas. In view of this I will wait for you to come back to your thread and hopefully give us more information.
The info which will help us to help you is: Which area Gladys and Ellen were born, whether you have birth or marriage cert's, and if you do what information is on them - eg Father's name, mother's maiden name, where you obtained Gladys' father's name and his occupation. Do you know which of the two girls was the elder?
Sorry for all the questions, but the answers will help us to help you.
