George Albert Day died 19th July 1959 in Portsmouth aged 78 born 1881
Lilian Selina Green died 5th October 1968 in Portsmouth aged 84 born 1884
Any help please!

George Albert, may have actually been Albert George.
I cannot find the death record you refer to, there are two with near matching info, but there isn't one which matches exactly.
Albert G Day abt 1883 Jul-Aug-Sep 1959 Portsmouth Hampshire (this one seems to be the best match)
George E Day abt 1881 Jan-Feb-Mar 1959 Portsmouth Hampshire

The 1911 census has: Albert George Day, 27, married, Railway Shunter, born Fratton Portsmouth

Hi, we have few technical problems at the moment and I was unableto edit my post.
The extra info I wished to add was: Lillie and Albert were enumerated as being married for 3 years, and the census ref is RD90, SD2, ED5 ,SN102 (Crown copyright, in care of TNA)

I think the 1911 census says one child born during marriage, one child died. But, I'd have to check, Elaine
I did find this which could be a totally wrong turn but had to add it just in case you have anymore family names

I think you are on the right track being Albert George on the 1911 census does it mention any children in the household!

Mind you, George/Albert named himself as "Albert George Day" in the form and then signed it "George Albert Day"! It's not very legible, but I think the form says they've been married for 3 years, which fits in with the 1908 wedding you and Elaine found.

It looks like there were at least 6 children born in Portsmouth between 1913-1925 with the surname Day who's mother's maiden name was Green. I can't post much about them on the forum, but do you already know what children George and Lilian had after 1911?
Hi Moonridge the names of the children was Alfred d.o.b. 1919, Patrick, Ronald, Charles, Thomas, Reginald d.o.b. 1925 their was a sister believed to called "Nin" supposedly emigrated to South Africa?
I have applied for the Marriage Certificate to hopefully throw more light on the subject.
