Thread: What happened to Alfred Wood (aka Aba Witenberg) ?

I am not sure if anyone will be able to help with this but I am keeping my fingers crossed

On 24 May, 1948 Aba Witenberg was granted naturalisation and it was announced inn the London Gazette as follows -

Wood, Alfred (formerly Witenberg, Aba); Poland;Tailor's Machinist; 10, Lynmouth Road, Stamford Hill, London, N.16. 24 May, 1948.

Towards the end of 1950 he married Patricia Woolf (Wood Green, Middlesex) and in August 1951 they had a daughter.

Alfred left the family home when the daughter was three and has never (to her knowledge) been heard from again - her mother died when she was 16 and any knowledge her mother might of had of his whereabouts was lost.

Does anyone have any suggestion about how we (his daughter and I) might go about finding our what happened to him?

Thanks very much for this - I do have a scan of this cert on my other computer - so will check for certain but I think his year of birth is 1919
