AS THIS SEARCH COULD INVOLVE LIVING PERSONS PLEASE SEND ANY INFOMATION FOUND VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE>>
Hi,
I have the birth certificate of a child who I believe was adopted at birth or soon after in the early 1940s. I also have a married name of the 'supposed' same person, although the first name has been changed from that on the birth certificate. From this, I have managed to find the marriage record and the child's surname also appears to have changed. I know this is quite normal for adoptions.
However, how do I set about trying to prove that the child on the birth certificate is the same person whose name I have been given by a family member? I cannot post any names as I believe the person in question is still living.
Any help would be appreciated as I've not had to do this kind of research before.
Many Thanks,
Mrsp
