My 4th great grand-father, David Watson, was born around 1731 in Cargill, Perth, died Jan. 12, 1801 in Angus, Dundee. He married Katherine Mitchell and I have found two of their children so far: James Watson, b 1772 and Thomas Watson, b 1787. I assume there are more considering the gap in their dates of birth.

David Watson and Katherine Mitchell's son James Watson married:
1) Janet Doig, in 1802, Dundee, Angus. They had one son that I know of, James Watson, b 1802. Janet Doig died in 1810.
2) Janet (Jessie) Duncan on Dec. 24, 1810, Dundee, Angus. (Janet had previously been married to James Doig, who also died in 1810.

Janet Duncan and James Doig had four children that I know of, all born in Dundee, Angus :
Margaret b 1804
Elizabeth (Betsy) b 1806
Janet b 1809
Isabella b1810.
Note: James Doig and Janet Duncan were "married clandestinely," the event recorded 19 Sept 1803 in Dundee. Both were listed from Dundee. Usually "clandestinely" means done in secret, or without consent and/or banns. )

James Watson and Janet Duncan had the following children that I know of, all born in Dundee, Angus:
Thomas Powrie Watson 1811
Mary Watson 1813
Jacobina Wright Watson 1814
Jean Watson 1817
Ann Wilson Watson 1819
Janet Watson 1821
George Watson 1823
James Watson 1825
Andrew Watson 1827
John Watson 1829
David Watson 1831
Peter Watson 1836

If anyone can help with this brick wall, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks- Eileen
