Ive just found my grt gran on 1911 census , however it says two children alive , my grt Aunt is 3 at time to whom i always thought the eldest . Im not aware of any other children , do you think it a mistake

I would not think it is a mistake the census was filled in by the head of the house hold. Post your g/grans name and let someone else take a look.

It could be correct taken at face value. I can only think of one idea, try looking for a grand-child with Johns parents or is wife's parents.
